Bicycles on park roadways must have wheels of at least 15 inches, cyclists must wear helmets and stay right, and groups must ride single file and obey all traffic and park regulations.
Cycling is allowed during open hours on Henry Hudson Drive, including Ross Dock entrance road and Alpine Approach Road, from the Edgewater park entrance north to the Alpine park entrance.
Cycling is NOT permitted on the Dyckman Hill Road section of Henry Hudson Drive (connecting to the Englewood Cliffs park entrance at Palisade Avenue) — cyclists must dismount and walk their bicycles on this road!
Due to rock slides, tree falls, and other emergency situations or maintenance work, sections of Henry Hudson Drive may need to be temporarily closed. When a barrier has been put in place by the Parkway Police on any roadway, the roadway beyond that barrier is to be considered closed for all use; those going beyond such a barrier are subject to summonses.
In addition to Dyckman Hill Road, cycling is not allowed on any hiking trail, walking path, or cross-country ski trail, on the Palisades Interstate Parkway, or beyond the parking areas at Allison Park and Fort Lee Historic Park. Violators will receive fines and may receive points on their licenses
Old Route 9W

Stay alert and practice courteous riding — this roadway is used extensively by pedestrians of all ages!
